"Pileated Woodpeckers nest in the woods behind my house in Princeton, Massachusetts, and I've had the fortunate opportunity to observe and sketch them at their nest cavity.  I hear their loud, ringing cries throughout the year, and when walking through the woods I often stop to admire the large squarish holes they chisel out of the aging white pines in their search for carpenter ants."
